We are well into our summer tours and guests have been having wonderful trips all over Scotland posting their reviews on TripAdvisor and telling everyone what a great time they had with Sublime Scotland.
John has been very busy and has had three whisky tours with guests from the US, New Zealand and also Estonia. These tours enjoyed three days on the famous whisky island of Islay and then explored the Malt Whisky Trail of Speyside.
The distilleries visited were too many to mention but included tours and tastings as some of the great names of Scotch whisky such as Lagavuilin in Islay, Glenfiddich in Speyside and also Erdradour and Blair Atholl in Pitlochry. Tastings were enjoyed at Scotland's highest distillery - Dalwhinnie.
Susan has also had lots of fun with a number of private tours of Scotland and took guests all over the Highlands. One small group enjoyed the famous Harry Potter Steam train and then took afternoon tea on the patio at the beautiful Arisaig House. A highlight of the tour.
Touring the islands of Scotland has also been a highlight for our visitors. John has been to the famous Isle of Skye with guests from Australia and also the US. Susan has been to the inner hebridean island of Mull with a young family from the US. Visiting majestic Duart Castle (home of the MacLean Clan) and also the spiritual haven of the special Isle of Iona. We enjoyed two wonderful nights in the colourful capital of the Isle of Mull - stunning Tobermory. The amazing sunny weather meant we had to include a fantastic visit to beautiful Calgary beach. An amazing day as we were lucky to see two baby White Tailed Eagle chicks on the Mull Eagle Watch visit. An amazing sight with the help of the ranger guide and her telescope.
The Scottish weather has been very kind to all our visitors so far this year. The town of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis has had 22 days days without rain! Our guests have been buying hot weather clothes in the shops! We cannot promise this will last all summer but so far 2018 has been an exceptional year and we have enjoyed lots of fun creating adventures and memories for people from all around the world.
